    Answer: Sc and ending in Cu

    Explanation: The 3d orbital is right next to the 4s orbital. So 3d starts with Sc Scandium which is 3d¹ and moves to the right to Cu Copper which is 3d9. The d orbital shell can occupy a maximum of 10 electrons. The 3d orbital actually ends up with Zn Zinc.
