If you were to break off a piece of this ice and melt it, would the water taste fresh or salty? Explain your answer.

    The answer is that water will taste salty.

    That is if we were to break off a piece of sea ice and melt it, the water would taste salty.

    Water in the ocean makes the crystalline structure of ice when water molecules interacts with each other and salt ions. That is the reason that is the water will taste salty.
