2. A. Based on your results, why do you think that HCI was a stronger electrolyte then

acetic acid? (Hint - How does the fact that acetic acid is a weak acid, which only partially

dissociates in water, while HCl is a strong acid which completely dissociates explain

your results?)

HCl or hydrochloric acid is stronger electrolyte than CH3COOH or acetic acid.

    Explanation:

The electrolytes are the chemical compounds which undergo complete dissociation in aqueous to form positively charged ions or cations and negatively charged ions or anions.

The electrolyte having high degree of dissociation than that of another electrolyte, then the first electrolyte will be stronger than the second one.

As HCl completely dissociates in an aqueous solution that"s why HCl is stronger electrolyte than CH3COOH which partially dissociates to form CH3COO - and H+, as a result most of the acetic acid remain undissociated.
