Living beings both animal and plants require a number of elements to live or mainly survive on the planet, as there are a number of elements like oxygen, O₂ and CO₂ which holds greater significance in the survival or we can simply say for the existence of these living beings. The oxygen, O₂ is present inside the free air and water molecules of oceans which is inhaled or extracted by the living beings respiratory systems. While the CO₂ is present in the form of a waste product inside the plants and animal's body, which requires to be removed from the living beings body or system. This whole process is termed as Breathing or respiration or we can also term it as the process of inhalation and exhalation inside the living beings. While, there is always the requirement and importance for the optimum amount or level of energy for the different processes to take place inside the living cell, this required amount of energy is released from the breakage of the bonds between the different molecules and atoms during the process of cellular respiration.
