if some of the world's country were to break the Montreal protocol and industry began manufacturing and using chlorofluorocarbons again it would lead to rapid depletion of earth's protective ozone layer.

    Explanation:

ozone layer is a protective layer in the earth's atmosphere that protects us from harmful ultra-violet rays. For a long time now the release of chlorofluorocarbons in the earth's atmosphere has had harmful effects on the ozone layer. As chlorofluorocarbons go high up in the atmosphere they are broken down into their individual elements. The free chlorine molecules then attack the ozone layer and start depleting it. Due to this depletion the harmful uv rays reach the surface of the earth directly and can cause a number of problems like skin cancer in humans.
