What is the limiting reactant when 5.6 moles of aluminum react with 6.2 moles of water?

    First, you need to see how much aluminum you have and how much water you have to make a mole ratio. Whichever one isn't in excess is the limiting reactant.

    5.6 mol of Al*2/1=11.2 mol Al

    6.2 mol of H2O*3/1=18.6 mol H2O

    11.2<18.6
