A 5.00-L air sample has a pressure of 107 kPa at a temperature of - 50.0º C. If the temperature is raised to 102ºC and the pressure drops to 60.0 kPa, what will the new volume be

    V' = PVT'/P'T ... Equation 2

    From the question,

    Given: P = 107 kPa, V = 5.00 L, T = - 50°C = (-50+273) = 223 K, P' = 60 kPa, T' = 102°C = (102+273) = 375K

    Substitute into equation 2

    V' = (107*5*223) / (375*60)

    V' = 119305/22500

    V' = 5.302 L.
