The maximum number of moles of Fe that can be produced is 1 mol

    Explanation:

    The reaction is this:

    2Al + Fe₂O₃ → 2Fe + Al₂O₃

Moles of Al = Mass of Al / Molar mass Al

    80 g / 26.98 g/m = 2.96 moles

Mol of Fe₂O₃ = Mass of Fe₂O₃ / Molar mass Fe₂O₃

    80 g / 159.7 g/m = 0.500 moles

For sure, with the naked eye, the limiting reagent is the Fe₂O₃.

1 mol of oxide, produces 2 mol of Fe

So, 0.5 mol of oxide, will produce 1 mol of Fe
