    The energy at the beginning is low than at the end of the reaction.

    Endothermic reactions gain the energy from surroundings to do the reaction. Since the thermal energy gain, the temperature of the surrounding decreases and the enthalpy for those reactions is a positive value. The products have higher energy than the reactants.
