A 220.0-mL sample ofhelium gas is in a cylinder with a movable piston at 105 kPa and 275 K. The piston is pushed m until the sample has a volume of 95.0 mL. The new temperature of the gas is 310. K. What is the new pressure of the sample?

    According to the law,

    (P1*V1) / T1 = (P2*V2) / T2

    where P1=105 kPa, V1 = 220 mL amd T1=275 K,

    V2 = 95 ml, T2=310K and P2=?

    P2 = (P1*V1*T2) / (T1*V2) = (105*220*310) / (275*95) = 274.105 kPa
