A certain gasol occupies a volume of 12.5 L at 50 degree Celsius and 740 torr. what would its volume be at STP? do the equation using the formula PV=nRT

    n=PV/RT

    convert:

    740 torr to atm (1 atm=760 torr)

    50 degree celsius to kelvin (degree celsus + 273 = kelvin)

    n = (0.9737 atm) (12.5L) : (0.08206 L atm mol ⁻¹k⁻¹) (323 K)

    n=0.4592 mols*22.4 L/1 mol. (22.4 L STP = 1 mol)

    =10.286 L at STP
