The hydrogen ion concentration (H+) for the aqueous solution in which (oh-) is 1 x10 ^-6 mol/l is calculated as below

    we always know (H+) (OH-) = 1 x10 ^14

make the H + the subject of the formula

    H + = 1 x10^-14 / OH-

    by substituting the OH-

    H + = (1 x10^-14) / (1 x10^-6)

    H + = 1 x 10 ^-8 mol/l

the solution is basic since it contain OH - ions
