NaI: neutral solution KF: basic solution NH4Br: acidic solution KCN: basic solution KC2H302: basic solution CsNO3: neutral solution KBr: neutral solution

    Explanation:

Salts are ionic compound formed when an acid reacts with a base. The reaction is called the neutralization reaction. The H + from the acid and OH - from base combine to form water. While the cation from the base and anion from acid forms the salt. There are three types of salt:

Acidic salt: formed by the reaction between strong acid and weak base. Basic salt: formed by the reaction between weak acid and strong base. Neutral salt: formed by the reaction between strong acid and strong base.

NaI: neutralization reaction between strong acid, HI and strong base, NaOH results in the formation of a neutral salt, NaI. Hence the resulting solution is neutral.

KF: neutralization reaction between weak acid, HF and strong base KOH, results in the formation of basic salt, KF. Hence the resulting solution is basic.

NH4Br: neutralization reaction between strong acid, HBr and weak base, NH3, gives an acidic salt, NH4Br. Hence, the resulting solution is acidic.

KCN: neutralization reaction between weak acid, HCN and strong base, KOH, gives a basic salt. Hence the resulting solution is basic.

KC2H3O2: neutralization reaction between weak acid, HC2H3O2, and strong base, KOH, gives a basic salt, hence the resulting solution is basic.

CsNO3: neutralization reaction between strong acid and strong base, i. e CsOH + HNO3, gives a neutral salt. Hence the resulting solution is neutral.

KBr: neutralization reaction between strong acid and strong base, i. e. HBr and KOH, gives a neutral salt. Hence the resulting solution is neutral
