The net force on a car traveling at a constant speed in a straight line is zero. In which of these would the net force remain zero?

A. The car speeds up to pass a big truck.

B. The car gets a flat tire and slows down.

C) In an instant the car comes to a complete stop.

    I believe the answer is In an instant the car comes to a complete stop.

    The net force is calculated through:

    F = m x a

    m = mass

    a = Acceleration

    When the car came into a complete stop, the acceleration become 0

    Which means that

    F = m x a

    F = m x 0

    F = 0
