A combination reaction is a type of reaction which has two reactants that yields one product. For example, the electrolytic synthesis of water would be:

    H2 + 1/2O2 - - - > H2O

The reactions, hydrogen and oxygen, yield a water molecule. Therefore, the statement above is False. That type of reaction is a decomposition reaction, which is the opposite of combination.
