What properties of the wave define why it is found within this area of the spectrum for visible light

    I believe the wavelength of a wave and the frequency determines the position of a particular wave in the spectrum for visible light. The visible spectrum is the portion of the electromagnetic spectrum that is visible to the human eye. Electromagnetic waves in this range of wavelengths is called visible light or simply light. A typical human eye will respond to wavelengths from 390 to 790 nm.
