    The osmotic pressure of a solution is calculated from the product of concentration in molarity, temperature and the universal gas constant, π = CRT. To determine the molar mass, we first calculate the concentration as follows:

    π = CRT

    0.138 = C (0.08205) (28 + 273.15)

    C = 5.5849x10^-3 mol / L

    We then multiply the volume of the solution to obtain the amount in moles.

    moles protein = 5.5849x10^-3 mol / L (.002 L) = 1.12x10^-5 mol

    Molar mass = 0.185 g / 1.12x10^-5 mol = 16562.432 g/mol
