When diazonium salt react with water, phenol and nitrogen gas are produced.

    Explanation:

Diazonium salt such as benzenediazonium chloride is very reactive so it can react with water at high temperature forming two substances i. e. phenol and nitrogen gas. Phenol is present in the beaker as a black oily liquid while nitrogen gas is released in the atmosphere due to volatile behavior.
