What is the amount of energy needed to heat 2.3 g of aluminum from 6.2oC to 46.9oC in Joules?

    Heat required = 84.25 Joule

    Explanation:

    Heat required = mass * specific heat capacity * temperature change

    Specific heat capacity of aluminium = 0.90 J/g/K

    Heat required = 2.3 * 0.9 * (46.9 - 6.2)

    = 84.25 Joules
