The difference between a cesium atom (Cs) and a cesium ion (Cs+1) is of 1 electron.

    Explanation:

Cesium is an S-block element placed in 1st group and 6th period of modern periodic table. The atomic number of Cs is 55. It has only one valence electron, when we remove that valence electron from Cs atom it becomes Cs + ion. After removal of valence electron the number of protons and neutrons do not get affected. But the size of Cs + ion becomes shorter than Cs atom.
