A sample of copper with a mass of 63.5g contains 6.02 x10 23 atoms calculate the mass of a single copper atom

    To determine the mass of a single copper atom, we simply divide the number of copper atoms in the sample to the mass of the sample. In this way, we will get the mass per single atom of Copper. We dp as follows:

    Mass of one atom = 63.5 g / 6.02x10^23 atoms = 1.05x10^-22 g per atom
