What is the formula for sodium hydroxide? how many atoms are in that formula?
if you had 5 formula units how many total atoms would you have?
if you had 5 moles of atoms ... same thing
NaOH is three atoms. each formula unit contains three atoms. 5 formula units of NaOH would have 15 atoms. 5 dozen formula units would have 15 dozen atoms, 5 moles of formula units would have 15 moles of atoms.
