Programming language typically has a syntax that is very structured and does not have room for interpretation. This is so that the computer, when it translates the programming language into machine code, knows exactly where to go and what to look for when processing the information. This makes it different from typical speech in that everyday language has a number of ways that a sentence can be decoded and understood, based on the speaker and the situation. Programming code has no such room for misinterpretation.
