    Virus and malware are the malicious software programs that are invoked in computer system to replicate malicious codes, extract and hack personal data, corrupt the information and system, etc.

    Impact of malware and viruses on factors of information security system are as follows:-

    Availability of the system is defined as the accessibility of the authorized user to conduct processing anytime and anywhere. If malware attacks the system then accessibility of authorized part can take place, system tends to slow down, disturbance in web services, malfunction of system etc. Confidentiality is the capability to maintaining security by avoiding unauthorized access, protection etc. If confidentiality is effected by malware then personal and confidential data (passwords, files, codes etc) is at risk, They can be attacked and stolen. Integrity is maintenance of intactness of information system with original and unaltered data. Virus and malware tend to alter the information and data loss can also be caused.
