    Answer: The HTML and XHTML are the markup languages that has some differences that are as follows:-

    HTML (Hyper Text Markup Language) was developed in year 1993 and XHTML (Extensible Hyper Text Markup Language) got developed in year 2000. HTML is supposed to have less expressive feature as compared with XHTML which is more expressive. HTML persist of not being case sensitive in nature whereas the XHTML has the case sensitivity in nature. HTML got extended from the SGML whereas XHTML is the combination of the HTML and XML.
