A slice can pass at most through 3 members thus answer id 'd'

    Explanation:

Since the equations of statics that are used for solving the structure in equilibrium are 3 thus we can have at most 3 unknowns to solve. Since in a truss in each member we get 1 unknown force thus at most the slice can pass through 3 slices to generate 3 unknowns
