How does the organization of the US government reflect the ideas of Enlightenment philosopher Baron de Montesquieu?

    Montesquieu believed that the French should have separated their government's power into three different branches. Each branch would have equal power, but would have a different power to the other individual branches as well. This set up can be seen with the American government as it has the legislative, executive, and judicial branches.
