2. On page 48, why does Ponyboy say that it doesn't bother him to be

cursed out, but being called "dirt" and "white trash" does? *

a. He feels like those words are way too mean for him to handle

b. He already feels like he is dirt because he is poor and now they are making fun

O

c. The Socs calling Ponyboy those names remind him of a time he was bullied.
