If you add 2 2/3 and 1 5/6 you get 4 3/6 or 4.5

2 2/3 + (1 5/6) = 9/2 (in improper fraction)
which is 4.5 in decimal
and 4 1/2 in mixed
All I basically did was convert the mixed numbers to improper fractions, then find LCD (least common denominator) then combine.
