A suffix is always located at the END of the word which affects the meaning of the word depending on how it is used. For example, the suffix - er. If connected to the word "make", it becomes "maker". "Maker" is a noun referring to someone or something who makes. If added with the suffix - ing, it becomes "making". This means an action word already.

Suffixes are letters or group of letters which are added at the end of a specific word which results to a new word. This new word usually has a different class than the original term. Examples are - ful in forgetful and useful, - ment in statement and government, - ion in creation.
