    This is false. As a matter of fact, complex vocabulary might bore and dissuade even the most knowledgable of people, let alone those casual readers who just want to enjoy their free time. It's not the writer's job to brag about his vocabulary but rather to convey messages and provide some meaning behind what he or she may be saying.
