I'd say the overall tone of this excerpt is D. assertive.

It means that the narrator is showing a confident and forceful personality, which is really similar to A. pushy, however, the difference is that pushy can be quite annoying and only want to sell the merchandise, whereas assertive tends to show the customer that they care.
