This event shows the love between the three friends: Annabeth, Grover and Percy and Percy decision to leave his mother is the right decision

    Explanation:

Percy's trip to the Underworld did not turn out as he suspected, he was accused by Hades of of stealing the master bolt for Poseidon to start a war and also of stealing the helm of darkness, his own symbol of power.

Hades tells Percy to hand the helm of darkness if not he would kill his mother. Percy had only three pearls so had a choice of leaving one of his friends to save his mother, his friends Annabeth and Grover tells him to leave one of them for his mother but instead, he left his mother and promised to come back for her.
