    Madison uses words such as "instability," "injustice," and "confusion" as a way of showing how factions (and later, political parties) can be injurious to the idea of a well-functioning government. He also uses the words "dangerous vice" as a way of letting the reader know his exact thoughts about the idea of having factions.
