Events from earlier in the novel that foreshadowed the killing of curley's wife include:

    1) When Lennie injured and broke Curley's hand.

    2) When Lennie murdered the mice

    3) When Curley's wife was in a heated argument because of Lennie

    Explanation:

In the novel "of mice and men" Curley's wife death was foreshadowed when Lennie murdered the mice because he had the tendency to pet anything that is soft thereby killing in the process. George found a dead nice in his pocket and reminded him of the trouble he got into in their previous town when he touched a girl's soft dress.

Curley's wife death was also foreshadowed when Curley and Lennie got into a fight because Curley was mocked for giving in to the demands of Slim. Lennie broke all the bones in Curley's hands.

The third event was when Curley's wife had an argument with Crook because she walked in when Lennie and Crook were discussing about plans to purchase a farm.
