    The answer is:

    d. Good always triumphs over evil in the end.

The theme of a story is the message the whole story sends, the thing that you can learn or aknowledge from reading that specific story, for example the theme of the fable of the rabit and the turtle is that perseverance and hard work always beats lazy but talented.

A theme in a story is an underlying message, or 'big idea'. In other words its what the author is trying to teach readers.

In my opinion the best answer to this question is

    d. Good always triumphs over evil in the end.
