Mr. Dussel is a dentist who goes into hiding with Anne's family in the Annex. His arrival changes the dynamics of the group in several important ways. Mr. Dussel is not a kind person. He is ungrateful, hoards food, has trouble sharing, and tries to impose many rules on Anne. This makes the environment in the Annex a lot more negative and confrontational. Moreover, it encourages fighting among the rest of the members of the group.

the secret is now known by more people, Mr. Dussel is not used to living with other people, so he will have problems with sharing a room and living with others, he probably does not have a good relationship with Anne since they are going to share a room and the two of you are going to have to deal with living together
