Why did McCoy become a fireman?

He wanted to be like his father.

He could not get a job as a mechanical engineer because of racial prejudice.

Companies did not think black men were smart enough to be engineers and white men couldn't take orders from them.

    I think the answer is both b and c because he was forced to become a fireman.
