Which sentence uses commas correctly?

A. On a hike you may get thirsty, but, don't drink from the stream.

B. Some streams contain germs and these can make you sick.

C. People in some cities drink water from lakes, but this water has been purified

D. People in the country may get their water from a spring or, they may get it from an underground well.

    The answer is C. People in some cities drink water from lakes, but this water has been purified.

    answer A needs the conjunction and D the comma needs to go in front of the word or not after.
