In my opinion, Goines presents a really convincing narrative style as he mainly uses a satirical literary style in which he exaggerates, and criticizes in some way the citizens rights and their position during a hard war story.

    Explanation:

Goines's narrative essay manages a great quote of black humor that could in some cases touch in an inappropriate way people's perception of the world or their susceptibilities. However, in my opinion the author uses satiric language with the purpose to connect to the audience, since he takes the citizens' side in a war story, showing the discomfort for the general situation with a black humor sense.

The narration is presented in first person which creates a greater connection with the public, since it is a directly and vivid experience that let the reader know that he really cares about the situation and in this way creating consciousness about it. The author uses a really special selection of words that cause a reaction in which the reader really enjoys the writing despite being a difficult story in which it is possible to know about the horrors that war brings.
