Many of the movies we see today with a super hero theme are based on comic books. We live in a difficult world where people are subconsciously seeking an escape, perhaps by the hands of a masked superbeing with a cape and unearthly abilities. Many people fantasize they are these heroes. So this genre has become a mainstay of today's movie industry.

Two of the movie giants who draw heavily on comic-based moves and characters are Marvel Universe and DC Universe.

    Is this good? or bad?

One thing is clear, some of the movies such as Iron Man, Avengers, Superman, and BatMan that are comic-based have gone on to gross billion of dollars in sales for America. So, on one hand, this is a positive development.

    Cheers!
