The Great Lakes are situated northeast of the Rocky Mountains. The Great lakes constitute Superior, Michigan, Huron, Eire and Lake Ontario. The great lakes are the largest group of freshwater lakes on Earth. These lakes contain 21% of the world's surface fresh water.
