What is an example of General Grant's leadership during the Civil War

    An example would be the Battle of Gettysburg. Grant, nicknamed "the butcher", threw wave after wave of Union soldiers at the confederate lines causing mass casualties for both the union and the separatists. But, he knew the North had more man power than the South and could effectively use this tactic to win the war combined with the Union's greater infrastructure and supply lines.
