Crusades brought about several changes to the European society.

Crusades were the events that took place in the 12th and 13th centuries in Europe and brought about structural changes and development in the region. Crusades enabled the Europeans to expand their trade till the Middle East. This led to the establishment of trade depots and also transport facilitated the development of shipbuilding industry. In addition, crusades led to the development of a banking system which became indispensable for the economy. Crusades in several ways can be attributed to the development of Europe.
