Which part of a stream's load moves the slowest?

    The slowest part of the stream would be on the stream bed and banks due to friction of the channel and also where e there is a meander, the stream will be the fastest on the outside bend of the stream and slowest on the inside bend of the stream or river. That means that one would expect to find alluvial gold preferentially on the inside bend of the meander.
