How would Global temperatures change if the earth had substantially more land area and less ocean area than it does at the present? How would such changes influence the biosphere?

    Answer: There will be significant increase in the temperature if earth had more land area and less water.

    Oceans play an important role to maintain the temperature on the earth. Every day, a huge amount of water evaporates from the ocean to prevent rise in temperature.

    If most of the earth was land, then earth would be extremely hot. Most of the land would be deserts and the life anatomy of biosphere would be far from normal.

    Rise in temperature would have drastic effects on biosphere. The life cycle of every living thing would be disturbed.
