    Some of the optical effects of the atmosphere includes the halos, pillar and the sun dogs all occur due to the Electromagnetic spectrum of the visible light of coming form the sun.

    Explanation:

    The Sun dogs are a colored spots of the light that develop due to the refraction properties of light due to the ice crystals. The colors go from the red to the blue on the outside of the sun dog. The Sun Pillars appear as a straight line of light that elongated vertically above the sun, most often at the sunrise or the sundown, and the cirrus clouds are present. The moon dog is a relative bright halo type spot that is formed by the moon by the refraction of the light and are rare.
