Eastern African is an example of Continental rift, and Basin and Province of united states are an example of Subduction zone.

    Explanation:

As we know the basin area of the united states is bordered bt the fault scraps and common features associated with it are basins, lakes, plateaus, and valleys. In general, the basin is a result of faulting and extension of landmass in a lateral direction, as long periods of compression due to the tectonic subduction. As the pacific plates mos westwards similarly the plate margins also move. The volcanism in the basin is a product of the interaction of the plates the concerned due to he underthrust from above. Eastern African rift began to develop as a rift valley from the onset of Miocene, as a result of the active volcanoes which is called the tri-junction. The eruption of continental basalts in Ethiopian, Somali and eastern Africa occurred as a result of magnetism at the center of the rift. This zone is home to several active volcanoes and earthquakes from Mount Kilimanjaro to the central highlands of Tanzania.
