    Closer to the sun.

    This means they have less distance to cover in spinning on the suns orbit answer they also are affected by the gravity of the sun at a higher rate than the Jovian.

    You see the closer an object is to the sun the higher effect the sun’s gravity would affect it more right?

    So the terrestrial planets (Mars, Venus, Earth, Mercury) are much closer to the sun than the Jovian which are seprearted by a huge asteroid belt called the Kuiper belt
