Why are some fronts produce stronger storms than others?

    There are several reasons why some front produce stronger storms than others:

    - temperature difference between the air masses: the larger the difference the greater the change when they collide and the stronger the storm

    - moisture

    - slope of the front. Fast moving fronts tend to have a steeper slopes and a narrower band of violent weather.
